The Japanese Fest performances included the Kodo Drummers, a performance of the Koto which is a 13 string instrument, Geisha (geiko, maiko) dancers and basket dancers. The Geishas were flown in from Japan for the fest and wore beautiful silk kimonos, traditional Japanese floral hairpins, known as kanzashi, and tabi (white split-toed socks.
