What a wreck! Here is my 1970 Ford Torino on it's last leg before getting towed away for $20.00. I bought it from a friend for $500.00 in 1977 who in turn bought a Corvette that did not las long on the streets of Chicago before it was stolen. In my case the Torino was hit head on by a drunk driver and from there the car sustained damage from one accident to another. The final straw was when the disc brakes dropped out from under the car while my sister was driving it on the expressway. After being junked and hauled away much to my surprise I saw it again in downtown Chicago. How did I know that it was my car, you say? See the mandala on the passenger side rear window? Yep, that mandala was on the car window where I left it and the new driver was enjoying the 8 cylinders, 8-track stereo player and the front bench seat that could drive 8 girlfriends around while exceeding 80 mph. Ah, the good old days when gas was cheap even during the embargo and a pack of cigs costs 35 cents. Take me back please!
