PUERTO RICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE DALEY PLAZA 06-20-81
Here are the faces of the Puerto Rican Independence Day Parade on June 20th, 1981. The parade marched down Dearborn Street and gathered in Daley Plaza playing traditional music. Thousands of people swarmed the street and sidewalks to celebrate with flags and traditional dress. The Puerto Rican Independence Day Parade has transitioned to the Humboldt,
Park neighborhood of Chicago where people come out to celebrate their independence from the Spanish Empire and the United States.
