The summer of 1981 was filled with ethnic music and performances at the Richard J. Daley Plaza. The performance included the traditional umbrella dance and fan dance. The audience included supporters of the arts, workers who would stream out of their office buildings as well as day camp groups. I kept a schedule of the performances and captured additional ethnic performances at the Daley Plaza, parades in downtown and neighborhood festivals. It was truly a busy summer for me and my camera!
