It was my first trip to Tucson, Arizona in 1978 where I visited my Uncle John who had recently moved from Chicago. Cactus, horseback riding, intense sunshine and development taking place with new homes popping up every time I travel back over the years. The desert was quickly eroded by gas stations, strip malls, and Walmarts. But let's get back to why I loaded up these photos to begin with. My cousin Michael and I traveled to Cordes Junction Arizona to a music festival at Arcosanti that was the brain child of Paolo Soleri's architectural dream. While reading up Paolo Soleri's wikipedia I was shocked to see that he sexually abused his daughter from a young child till she was 17. FUCK HIM! The two day music festival was mired by a campfire that started near the parking lot and many cars went up and smoke. It was a long day with a long ride back cousin to Tucson and I could hardly keep my eyes open. Michael kept saying just drive while he slept till we arrived back at Uncle Johnny's house. Whew!
