Fans of the WLUP Radio Station brought a disco record and paid 98 cents to the double header between the White Sox and Detroit Tigers on July 12, 1979. The records were blown up in dumpster in between games the by disc jockey, Steve Dahl. A riot ensued making the baseball field unplayable and the second game of the double header was forfeited by the White Sox. Photos of Disco Demolition have appeared in
